Community Impact Committee

The Junior League of Olympia’s Community Impact Committee is the driving force behind our signature community program, Club Moxie, and all other volunteer activities for League members.  We work with other non-profits in the Thurston County and South Sound areas to create meaningful volunteer experiences related to the social and emotional well-being of children and youth.  These experiences give our members opportunities to lead, try new things, and meet new people in a safe and fun environment.

William Ives Trail

Junior League of Olympia Members clean the William Ives Trail for Find the Good Day in September 2023.

In 2023, we adopted the William Ives Trail in Lacey, WA. The 2.6 mile, family friendly and accessible trail traverses the Meridian Campus community. Local residents and kids on bikes enjoy the trail daily.

The Community Impact Committee arranges at least one maintenance day for the trail each quarter.  We’re excited to provide a safe and beautiful trail for our local youth to get out in nature and improve their mental well-being.

Our Impact

Many of our past community programs have evolved into self-sustaining non-profits:

  • Little Red Schoolhouse

In addition, our members serve on corporate and non-profit boards in our community.
